National Cued Speech Association (NCSA) board members and InsCert workshop participants will be coming to the Mile High City (AKA Denver) this coming October. The NCSA will have its board meeting from Friday, October 28 to Sunday the 30th. The InsCert workshop will be held on Friday and Saturday, while the written exam will be held Sunday. For those who are interested in becoming a Cued Speech instructor or need more insight into the mechanics of Cued Speech, the InsCert workshop is a great start. More information on the process of becoming a certified instructor is available at http://www.cuedspeech.org/sub/professionals/instructors.asp. The board meeting and InsCert will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn - Denver Cherry Creek. In the area is a great shopping center and many restaurants. A block of rooms with views of the Front Range are available for a rate of $89 per night (what??? yes... $89... so feel free to double up with someone else and save, save, save!) To take advantage of this incredible rate, you must book by Wednesday, September 28th! Contact our secretary, Mary-Beth Rose at mbrose@cuedspeechcolorado.org for reservation information. Cued Speech of Colorado will be hosting social events throughout the weekend so follow Cued Speech of Colorado on Facebook to stay updated on upcoming events related to this upcoming cue-tastic weekend of cueing! We will have an international guest from the United Kingdom and NCSA members from all over the country, so don't miss the opportunity to experience some British cueing and meet other cuers. CSCO's social events are open to the public so you don't need to know how to cue in order to attend. Who knows if you might actually learn how to cue your own name (and more) at the end of those social functions! Feel free to spread the word to those who might be interested in learning more about Cued Speech. Look forward to seeing you in Denver!
